predictive health for specialized machines

The mission of The Machine Instrumentation Group is to define, design and develop sensor solutions for machine health problems that resist traditional approaches.

We help service providers, maintenance professionals, OEMs and condition monitoring equipment vendors sort through the technologies, recommending options to advance your Condition Monitoring goals.

THE MACHINE INSTRUMENTATION GROUP represents a collaborative network of CBM product and service providers who can help OEMs, builders, service providers, maintenance staff and operators of unique or specialized machines to instrument their own hardware for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.

We draw from a network of resources to help you through the process of getting new instrumentation developed to increase the visibility of your machine condition. We’ll consult with your team to assess your situation, help you sort through the technology options, decide on an approach to your particular problem and recommend the right partners to work with your team. Our flexible operating model can help you accelerate your progress by providing help where you most need it.

We consult, assess, recommend, design, build and deploy CBM sensor technologies -

  • We define, design and build customized, embeddable, digital CBM sensors

  • We partner with your machine experts to apply data engineering analytical approaches, developing customized health indicators from all available data

  • We recommend new data acquisition instrumentation to obtain machine data

We help you work through a process of instrumenting your machine, delivering predictive health insight to both you and your customers...

We consult with your team to assess your machine health problems. We then work with your machine experts to develop new health indicators, and if necessary, define and recommend new sensors with connectivity for your control environment.

Unlike traditional condition monitoring solutions, we specialize in developing health indicators based on an analysis of your machine in context, often with data from existing control instrumentation, so initiating a pilot study with available data is a great way to launch and accelerate the development of your CBM program.

If additional data will be useful, we will recommend Data Acquisition (DAQ) solutions to collect and analyze the data, then define, design and build new sensors as needed.

Finally, we can also recommend deployable monitoring systems, with monitoring software and services.
